Lucid Motors App Marketplace
Within a 5-week timeframe, the client and our team agreed to deliver an MVP design concept. I began by researching and analyzing collected assets to understand Lucid Motors and their customers. I then proceeded with wireframing and designing the UI/UX, including interactions. Throughout the project, I participated in weekly client meetings to gather feedback and refined the design accordingly.
Timeline
Before starting the design work, we examined several areas: the luxury EV landscape, app marketplaces, platforms and tools, and customer profiles. This helped us gain a comprehensive understanding of the brand, market, and user needs.
Competitive analysis
We developed personas for the main user groups and mapped out their user journeys based on our research. These personas and journeys guided us in targeting both user needs and business goals effectively.
Personas and their journeys
To ensure a consistent digital and brand experience, we collected design assets such as Lucid’s brand guidelines and internal product designs. We also reviewed Lucid’s current website and other public-facing products. We analyzed these assets and applied the design foundations to the MVP for the Lucid app marketplace.
Assets
For the prototype, we concentrated on a single use flow: from entering the app marketplace to browsing for an app, viewing the detail page, and downloading the app. We addressed layouts and structures of main pages, content organization, page loading interactions, and micro-interactions for various component states.
